A Message from the President & CEO of Mizuho Trust & Banking

Continuing to earn the faith and trust of customers and society for the next 100 years
As President & CEO of Mizuho Trust & Banking, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued interest and support.
In 2025, we marked 100 years since the founding of our predecessor institution, the Kyosai Trust Company. We truly appreciate all of the customers and stakeholders who have chosen us as a trusted partner and enabled us to reach this incredible milestone.
Over the course of our 100-year history, we have positively contributed to growth for society, the economy, and our customers by being among the first to develop products and services suited to the changing times. Some examples are our pension trusts, which help people provide for their lifestyles post-retirement and accumulate savings; our employee share ownership trusts, which give employees a greater sense of involvement in their company’s performance while also allowing them to build out their own assets; our lease receivable trusts, which constitute a novel new structure in the finance business; and, most recently, personalized trusts that feature integrated non-financial services for older customers.
Today, we remain committed to facilitating further growth on a broad scale. For example, in the real estate market, where purchases and sales exceed JPY 4 trillion annually, we are exercising our strengths particularly as a broker for large-scale properties. Outside of this, we are focusing on business and asset succession, a pertinent issue as Japan’s population ages; enhancement of corporate value through means such as sustainability initiatives, human capital investment, and stronger corporate governance; and asset management in line with the Japanese government’s policy plan for promoting Japan as a leading asset management center. Across these areas, we are coordinating with other Mizuho group companies to offer optimal solutions that meet our customers’ diversifying needs.
At Mizuho Trust & Banking, we will continue to stay ahead of the rapidly advancing structural changes in society and the economy and work with our customers to address increasingly complex challenges. By doing so, together with our customers, we will make the next 100 years even more prosperous.
We appreciate your continued support and will make every effort to not only meet, but exceed, your expectations.
