It was a pleasure for Mizuho to actively participate in the 60th Annual Joint Business Conference between Australia and Japan, held in Melbourne Australia this October.
The conference brought together 600 top business leaders and government officials from both Japan and Australia to discuss a wide range of topics and opportunities for increasing collaboration between the two countries. Remarkable insights were gained from the various sessions, including energy transition, evolving geopolitics, and rapidly changing technology and demographics.
At this milestone conference, our Managing Executive Officer Yasuhiro Kubota shared our view and role as a global financial institution in the key panel discussion ‘Framing Our Clean Energy Future: Australia and Japan in a Carbon-Neutral 2050’.
Kubota MEO not only outlined the key challenges, but importantly focused on potential ways forward for both countries to proactively collaborate and innovate together with our clients for a prosperous and sustainable future.
