We invite you to join us for a post Bank of Japan (BOJ) Monetary Policy meeting analysis from Shunsuke Kobayashi (Chief Economist) and Shoki Omori (Chief Desk Strategist for Rates & FX); both from Mizuho Securities, Tokyo.
We saw so many headlines which contradict each other from BOJ’s official this month. However this month hike seems to be off the table now. At this moment the hike in December is priced in only 16%. Having said that we are expecting that BOJ will hike earlier next year. We will analyse the statement and what message BOJ will send.
Shunsuke will share his views on the implication of the BOJ’s decision for Japanese economy for 15 minutes, followed by Shoki who will discuss the impact on the Rates & FX markets, along with trade ideas, moderated by Jordan Rochester, Head Macro Strategist from Mizuho International PLC.
