We invite you to join us for a post Bank of Japan (BOJ) Monetary Policy meeting analysis from Shunsuke Kobayashi (Chief Economist) and Shoki Omori (Chief Desk Strategist for Rates & FX); both from Mizuho Securities, Tokyo.
Rates expectations expressed in swaps are slightly higher than what most market investors in Japan are thinking. Recently, media attention has also increased on the topic of LDP leadership, prior to which it will be hard for the BoJ to act. However, we hope Governor Ueda will provide a hint of the potential future policy path that the BoJ may undertake.
Shunsuke will share his views on the implication of the BOJ’s decision for Japanese economy for 15 minutes, followed by Shoki who will discuss the impact on the Rates & FX markets, along with trade ideas, moderated by Jordan Rochester, Macro Strategist from Mizuho International plc.
