Mizuho Financial Group included in 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, recognising commitment to advancing its female workforce

Mizuho Financial Group has been selected as a member in the 2019 Bloomberg Financial Services Gender-Equality Index (GEI). This is for the third year in a row. The index recognizes companies from 36 countries for outstanding efforts in promoting gender equality as reflected in internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings.

The Bloomberg GEI provides an additional level of clarity for global investors seeking to invest in, or partner with, a firm based on its reputation, value, and performance. It also recognizes Mizuho’s continued efforts to achieve greater diversity on a global and group-wide basis, including the advancement of its female workforce and commitment to ensuring every employee feels valued and inspired in a supportive and rewarding working environment.

The Bloomberg GEI is a reference index created in 2016 by Bloomberg to meet a growing need among investors worldwide for greater access to information that would allow them to evaluate companies' reputations, values and business results.
