Our Markets business in Mizuho EMEA has partnered with One Degree, an organisation dedicated to empowering students from disadvantaged backgrounds in boroughs surrounding the City of London.
Our One Degree sponsorship is aimed at expanding One Degree's online mentoring program for disadvantaged students in London, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. The partnership aligns with Mizuho's corporate purpose of improving society and contributing to ESG goals.
As a key sponsor, we have the opportunity to help expand One Degree's innovative online mentoring platform, which is currently supporting around 100 students per year, and make a lasting impact on young lives.
This initiative also offers Mizuho front office colleagues and clients the opportunity to actively participate as mentors, offering guidance and support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
As well as partnering with clients to mentor the students, we will also leverage our technology expertise in supporting the development of an app and expand the program to more students and schools across the UK.
