Post BOJ Monetary Policy Meeting - Video Conference Call

We invite you to join us for a post-Bank of Japan (BOJ) Monetary Policy Meeting analysis featuring Shunsuke Kobayashi (Chief Economist) and Shoki Omori (Chief Desk Strategist for Rates & FX), both from Mizuho Securities in Tokyo. The session will be hosted by Evelyne Gomez-Liechti from our Multi Asset Strategies team in London.

This month brings a wealth of developments for the Japanese market, including the trade agreement with the US and the outcome of the recent election which resulted in a minority government. Uncertainty remains high, yet many media outlets continue to report expectations of a BOJ rate hike within the year. As always, we intend to closely monitor the BOJ’s communication with the market during this meeting.

Shunsuke will begin with a 15-minute overview of the implications of the BOJ’s decision for the Japanese economy. This will be followed by Shoki, who will discuss the impact on the Rates & FX markets and share trade ideas. The session will be moderated by Evelyne Gomez-Liechti from Mizuho International PLC.
