Mr. Seibel joined Mizuho Group as Chief Executive Officer of Mizuho Securities Europe GmbH in March 2019 with responsibility for the Group’s capital markets, sales, trading and investment banking activities in the European Union.

In August 2023 he was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of Mizuho Bank Europe NV, the Amsterdam based EU Corporate Banking unit of Mizuho. In September 2023 he was also appointed Head of European Corporate Coverage for Mizuho Bank.  Further, he is a member of the Executive Committee of London based Mizuho International plc and part of the Corporate & Investment Banking Operating Committee of Mizuho in EMEA.

Mr. Seibel has over 26 years’ experience in advising corporates on capital structure topics including debt and equity capital raising, hybrid capital, liability management, securitization, acquisition finance and related risk management.

Mr. Seibel holds an MBA in International Business from Darla Moore School of Business.
