Hiroki Kurakagi became CEO for Mizuho EMEA in April 2025.

He joined Mizuho Financial Group in 1994 and has held a variety of senior leadership positions across the world, from Tokyo to New York. These include Chief of Staff to the Global CEO, Tokyo, and Chief Strategy and Administrative Officer, New York. He has also served across various senior front office, corporate banking and investment banking managerial roles.

Mr. Kurakagi was also the General Manger for the Strategic Planning Department at Mizuho Financial Group, Tokyo, where he was responsible for formulating business and corporate strategies for the entirety of Mizuho Financial Group.

Mr. Kurakagi received his Bachelor’s in Economics from Hitotsubashi University and Master of Business Administration from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
