Our commitment to respond

We respond to local needs and work with not-for-profit and charity partners to make a difference to local communities, through skills-based and hands-on activities.

A great range of initiatives are organised across our network of offices in EMEA, including career-readiness and financial education workshops, as well as charity fundraising events. We also take part in volunteering activities and are proud to engage in Mizuho's global Mizuho Volunteer Day, an annual opportunity for employees to give back to their communities.

We are committed to developing our positive impact on society, and here are some of the ways we raise funds, and give our time.

Meet our charity partners

London | Little Village

Colleagues in London are delighted to support Little Village, a network of baby banks across London supporting families with young children under the age of five living in poverty. They do this by collecting, sorting and passing on pre-loved donations – everything from beds and buggies to toys and clothes – as well as toiletries and other essentials. Other than donations, our colleagues are active in participating in fundraising events for Little Village, from quiz nights to challenging hikes.

Amsterdam | NL Cares

Our colleagues in Amsterdam are proud to have partnered with NL Cares since 2017. Working together helps us connect with members of our local community that may need extra support, including children and young people in disadvantaged situations, the elderly, migrants, the homeless, and people with disabilities. Our work with NL Cares not only enables us to actively support people through volunteering activities, it helps broaden our view of the world.

Making an impact on Mizuho Volunteer Day

Volunteers from Mizuho London, Amsterdam and Riyadh offices joined forces to help local charities for Mizuho's global initiative, Mizuho Volunteer Day.

Mizuho London colleagues supported their charity partner, Little Village, with sorting out donations in the charity's warehouse and setting up displays in their outreach hub.

Mizuho Amsterdam colleagues rolled up their sleeves and joined forces with their local charity partner, NL Cares, for a memorable day on a farm in the Amsterdam countryside.

Mizuho Riyadh colleagues partnered with Kiswa, a local charity dedicated to sustainability and social good, with a recycled material donation campaign in the spirit of giving back and making a tangible difference in the community.

Mizuho 5-a-side Charity Football Tournament

Our London office held the third annual MizuhoMizuho 5-a-side Charity Football Tournament, hosting80 players across 12 teams, for their charity partner, Little Village. Donations from the participants helped support families with young children living in difficult circumstances, and every contribution made a difference.

Team Mizuho takes on the Standard Chartered Great City Race 2025

65 colleagues from across Mizuho London laced up their trainers and hit the closed roads of the City of London for the 20th anniversary of the annualStandard Chartered Great City Race. Our runners powered through the 5k route along London’s iconic landmarks in high spirits and a shared commitment to making a difference. Whether chasing personal bests or simply enjoying the run, every stride contributed to something bigger – supporting our London charity partner, Little Village, and Futuremakers by Standard Chartered.

Proud to support the City of London and charity partner Little Village

Steeped in a tradition of over 800 years, our London office was thrilled to participate in this year's Lady Mayor's Show, the world's largest and oldest unrehearsed procession, showcasing all that is great about the City of London. We walked together with our charity partner, Little Village, as well as the Taiko Meantime Drummers and Japanese-inspired dancers, to welcome in Dame Susan Langley DBE as the 697th Lord Mayor of London - and the first ever to hold the title Lady Mayor of London!
