Mizuho Business Innovation Forum（March 20, 2015）Consideration on climate actions from a finance perspective
For tackling climate change, broad range of actions for mitigation and adaptation need to be taken by all parties including developing countries. However, how to ensure financial resources is a big issue for developing countries to implement such actions. The Cancun Agreement, adopted in COP16 in 2010, set a goal of 100 billion US dollars a year by 2020 as climate finance, sourced from public and private sectors in developed countries and to be funded to developing countries, which drives various efforts worldwide. In this context, Mizuho Information & Research Institute organized a forum on climate finance, inviting specialists in this area for discussion.
