Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (hereafter “MHFG”) and its consolidated subsidiaries and equity method affiliates listed in our securities reports, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "MHFG Group") will handle personal information of our customers only within the scope necessary to execute business and achieve the purposes of use described below, and will not handle it beyond this scope. If other laws and regulations restrict the use of specific personal information, we will not handle the information other than the specified purposes.

Businesses of our group companies

Businesses that banks can conduct based on laws and regulations such as banking business (deposits, foreign exchange operations, lending), currency exchange, foreign exchange business, investment trust sales, insurance solicitation, securities brokerage business, trust business, corporate bond business, etc., and business operations incidental thereto.

Purpose of use of personal information by the MHFG Group

The MHFG Group will use your personal information for the following purposes in relation to various products and services of the group companies and affiliate companies.

For processing applications for financial products and services, such as opening accounts for various financial products.
For verifying the customers’ identity as required by laws and regulations, and the eligibility for selling the financial products and services to be sold.
