In just three years, the Mizuho Americas Open has become a premier event on the LPGA Tour. Mizuho created and drove a vision for a distinctive and premium event that celebrates women and advances the next generation. Hosted by LPGA Tour Icon and Mizuho Brand Ambassador Michelle Wie West, the tournament features an elevated purse and a unique junior component where the amateur stars of tomorrow compete alongside the best women golfers in the world.

LPGA icon and Major Champion, Michelle Wie West is a trailblazer on and off the golf course. After stepping away from professional golf to focus on family and advocacy, she accepted Mizuho Americas’ invitation to host its first-ever LPGA tournament, based on shared values and commitment to making an outsized impact on women athletes, youth, and society.

Innovative Format


Showcasing the stars of today alongside the future of the game, 120 LPGA players will compete alongside 24 top-ranked junior girls on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Tour, creating an unprecedented week of education and access to inspire the next generation of LPGA Tour players.;

Iconic Venue


In 2026 and 2027, the Mizuho Americas Open will be hosted at the Mountain Ridge Country Club, before returning to its long-term home at Liberty National. Mountain Ridge Country Club, founded in 1912 in West Orange, NJ and relocated a few miles away to West Caldwell in 1929, features an 18-hole golf course designed by famed architect Donald Ross. The course has hosted several notable championships, including the 2012 USGA Senior Amateur Championship and the 2021 LPGA Cognizant Founder's Cup.

Through direct service and advocacy Girls Inc. equips girls – particularly girls from low-income communities and girls of color – with the knowledge and skills to effect positive changes in their lives and to become leaders who will change the world. Professionally trained staff and volunteers provide mentorship, safe spaces, and programming that address the unique challenges girls face and are proven to help girls succeed.

Michelle Wie West, LPGA Icon
LPGA icon and Major Champion, Michelle Wie West is a trailblazer on and off the golf course. After stepping away from professional golf to focus on family and advocacy, she became an ambassador and tournament host for Mizuho Americas’, based on shared values and commitment to making an outsized impact on women athletes, youth, and society.

Ayaka Furue, LPGA Tour Player
Two-time LPGA Tour winner and eight-time JLPGA winner Ayaka Furue earned her LPGA Tour card in 2022 and has notched 27 top 10 finishes in her career, including 19 top 5 finishes. Furue’s first win on the LPGA Tour was in 2022 when she took home the trophy at the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open. In 2024, she won the Amundi Evian Championship (a major championship) and the Vare Trophy for lowest scoring average for the season.

Rose Zhang, LPGA Tour Player and 2023 Mizuho Americas Open Champion 
Upon winning the Mizuho Americas Open, Rose Zhang became the first player since 1951 to win in her professional debut on the LPGA Tour. Since turning pro, Zhang has recorded seven top-10 finishes and represented the United States during the 2023 Solheim Cup. She spent a record 141 weeks as the top-ranked amateur in the world before turning pro.

Yana Wilson, 2023 Mizuho Americas Open Amateur Champion
2023 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Player of the Year, Yana Wilson secured guaranteed Epson Tour status for 2025 and won the 2025 Reliance Matrix Championship. Prior to joining the Epson Tour, she had four AJGA victories, including winning the amateur tournament at the inaugural 2023 Mizuho Americas Open at Liberty National Golf Club.
