Brett Linzey

The three-person Industrials team (incl. MBA & CFA) is known for their differentiated thematic work, deep corporate relationships and breadth of industry stock coverage entailing 25 currently & 65+ over sell-side tenure across EE/MI, Machinery and Flow Control. The group has expansive channel relationships with U.S. distributors and dealers in the areas of HVAC, mechanical contractors, electrical equipment, automation and pool supply. They maintain an active trade show and field trip corporate access circuit ranging from C-suite to mid-level/product manager access across key divisional businesses. The group publishes a high tempo of unique thematic work, which delves into ongoing investor debates, cycle positioning and regulatory or product cycles. Brett previously covered four European Industrials and works closely with its highly ranked Japanese Industrial teams, which helps inform a global view.​

Brett joined Mizuho in July 2021 as a Senior Analyst covering Industrials, including Multi-Industry and Industrial Technology stocks. Brett brings 15+ years of sell-side experience covering Industrials having also served at a leading boutique providing differentiated and thematic product. He was voted Rising Star by Institutional Investor (II) in Electrical Equipment/Multi-Industry and has quickly moved up the II (Extel) ranks. Previously, he was an Associate PM in Institutional Investments (PNC) and a Private & Business Banking Officer prior to that. The 2-time collegiate Football National Champion holds a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University’ Monte Ahuja College of Business and BA in Business Finance from Mount Union College. He is a CFA Level III and CAIA Level II candidate.​
