Sean leads our Business and IT Services equity research at Mizuho which is known for its deep-dive fundamental and thematic pieces of research. Sean leverages his prior experience covering the Internet, Software, Payments, and Business Services sectors to develop differentiated views on the Business and IT Services industry, especially the impact of GenAI on IT Services companies and the relative advantaged and disadvantaged companies in the industry from a competitive standpoint. Sean also hosts regular meetings with industry experts to ascertain IT spending trends across the  sector and how new technologies and services are affecting the industry. Sean has been expanding his coverage into Business Services companies with his recent initiations on FICO, Equifax, and TransUnion building upon his 2025 Moody’s and S&P Global initiations.​

Analyst Bio

Sean joined Mizuho in August 2023 as an analyst covering IT Services. Prior to Mizuho, Sean served as a vice president at New Street Research covering the U.S. Internet sector. He has a decade of research experience covering the Payments & IT Services, Software, Internet, and Business Services sectors. He has previously served as director at AirChem LLC, vice president at Goldman Sachs, and as vice president at Nomura Securities, where he began his research career. Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School .​
