Mizuho Bank, Ltd. (Mizuho Bank; Nobuhide Hayashi, President and CEO) opened a representative office in San Francisco, California, U.S.A. on September 1, 2015. This is the sixth Mizuho Bank office in the United States, and it further extends the bank’s footprint across the country to better serve customers.


The Bay Area in northern California includes San Francisco, a major financial hub on the West Coast, and Silicon Valley, one of the leading high technology regions in the world, and is one of the major economic areas in the United States. The number of Japanese corporations with offices in the region currently exceeds 700 and also continues to grow.
