New York, February 19, 2020 – Mizuho Americas today announced it was recognized by Project Finance International (PFI) for three awards in 2019.


Mizuho Americas won:


North America Deal of the Year as part of its role in the $5.8 billion financing of the Calcasieu Pass LNG facility in southwestern Louisiana;


Latin America Deal of the Year for the $8.6 billion acquisition and financing of 90 percent of the Transportadora Associada de Gas SA (TAG) Pipeline in Brazil; and


Americas Mining Deal of the Year for the $2.5 billion financing of Chile’s Quebrada Blanca 2, one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper resources.


The awards were presented at the 2019 PFI Awards Dinner in London on February 5th. A prestigious event in the global capital markets calendar, the awards gather 900 of the world’s most senior and successful project finance professionals to celebrate industry excellence each year. In addition, Mizuho won several other awards for projects around the globe.
