What do you do at Mizuho?

I’m on the Equity Sales team and engage with clients in the US to ultimately add value to their respective investment processes.

How is Mizuho different from other places you've worked?

Entrepreneurial spirit is at the core of Mizuho, and I am proud to be a part of a driven team that collaborates to deliver bespoke content to our clients. The environment at Mizuho is one where we encourage each other to reach new heights, and help each other get there.

What’s a particularly proud moment you’ve had here?

Every time I shed light on Mizuho’s breadth and depth of capabilities in the US – whether this takes the form of connecting investors with our sector traders, equity research analysts, economists, or Head of US Government Affairs – it is rewarding to make the introductions that foster newfound relationships for Mizuho. Over the past few years, Mizuho’s tremendous growth has been a source of pride to share with investors.

What’s one thing you've learned while at Mizuho or in the industry?

To be intentional. Time is such a limited resource, and when pressed for it, superfluous communication can translate into lost meaning.

What do you do for fun?

I love to travel, exercise, and try new restaurants.

What surprised you about Mizuho?

Senior management’s commitment to employees’ professional and personal growth is proactively discussed. On my first day, I was asked what I sought in this position, and that caused me to take a step back and think about what I look for in a career. The conversation has always stuck with me, and I am incredibly grateful that this dialogue has progressed through to the present, as it has led me to find new passions and expand upon existing ones.
