What do you do at Mizuho? I manage the US Equity Sales team. Working with our equity research, sales/trading, and equity capital markets teams, we deliver Mizuho’s global equities offering to our vast institutional client base.
How is Mizuho different from other places where you've worked? Mizuho is truly a global firm with a focus on differentiated, thoughtful, and collaborative client service across all areas of the bank. There is a strong emphasis placed on a culture that continuously invests in its people and works diligently to build its products, capabilities, and offering with a steadfast and committed focus on the client.
What surprised you about Mizuho? I was surprised by how helpful people across the firm are. Colleagues across different departments genuinely take the time to help, mentor, and motivate others. It’s a true testament to the culture at Mizuho and the dedication of its employees to bring out the best across the organization.
What is a topic or issue outside of financial services that interests you? I like learning about climate change and the impact it has on our society. I believe it is important to educate ourselves on how the climate is changing so we can be well-prepared to understand the implications of our actions today and what that means for the future of our planet.
What do you do for fun? I enjoy running (having successfully completed 10 full marathons and counting), exploring NYC, reading, and cooking with my wife.
What skill or competency do you feel you've enhanced while at Mizuho? I have enhanced my leadership skills. Mizuho takes the time to help its employees go above and beyond with the resources needed to succeed.
