Edlain Rodriguez

Edlain is part of a 4-person North American Chemicals and Packaging Team that’s known for its significant Wall Street experience (60 man-year), strong Corporate Access, and the breadth (34 chemical and packaging stocks) of industry coverage. The group has done thoughtful analysis of what differentiates specialty chemicals from basics, how basics chemical cycles work, and why EBIT return on adjusted invested capital is the right way to compare profitability over cycles and between the wide range of companies.

Edlain joined Mizuho in November 2023 as an Analyst covering packaging and chemicals. He works alongside John Roberts covering Chemicals. Edlain brings to Mizuho nearly 20 years of sell-side research experience covering packaging, ag and chemicals having served at several bulge-bracket firms and a leading boutique. He was Runner-Up (#5) in I.I. in 2019 for his work in paper and packaging. Rodriguez holds a BA in Economics from Stony Brook University and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
