Differentiated Product
Mizuho’s Restaurants team is centered on finding alpha through primary research, disciplined analysis, and a willingness to take differentiated views when the data supports it. We are best known for our quarterly company owned store checks and deep franchisee outreach, including frequent franchisee calls conducted with investors to surface inflections ahead of reported results. Our work focuses on identifying winners and losers in an increasingly competitive, value driven restaurant landscape, and we are willing to take strong views that differ from alternative data when our proprietary checks/data warrants such a stance. Across our coverage, we emphasize traffic trends, store-level economics and competitive positioning to separate inflections from noise in a crowded sector.
