Michal Katz Wins Coveted Trailblazer Award


New York, November 21, 2021 – Mizuho Americas today announced that Michal Katz, Head of Investment and Corporate Banking, was honored as a Trailblazer for her role as one of the few women leading a banking division in the US. In remarks delivered at the awards ceremony in New York, Katz said she hopes to help accelerate a trend towards more women with seats at the table that determine the direction of financial services. Also honored was Managing Director and Head of Derivatives Risk Solutions Shirley Liu for outstanding achievement in Fixed Income Leadership. In the Rising Star category, Executive Director for Interest Rate and Derivative Sales, Anisha Dhanani, was recognized as a future financial services leader.  


In addition, Sarah Kanes, Managing Director, Real Estate, Investment & Corporate Banking; Renee Emmet, Managing Director, Counterparty Portfolio Management; Melissa Mendel, Managing Director, COO Office, Investment & Corporate Banking; and Ashley Horne, Director, Corporate Sponsorships & Events were named as finalists in their respective categories.
