Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (President & Group CEO: Yasuhiro Sato) hosted its second Mizuho Global Council meeting on December 13, 2017. Mizuho decided to organize the Global Council meeting last year to make use of the knowledge and insights of leading C–suite level experts in various global businesses and industries.
Three of the world's most prominent business leaders were invited to discuss the global economic and political outlook and its impact on business strategies. This year, special attention was given to the topic of digital innovation.
Facing rapid changes in the external environment, Mizuho will continue to make use of the recommendations and proposals from the Global Council members as it aims to become the "most trusted financial services group with a global presence and a broad customer base, contributing to the prosperity of the world, Asia, and Japan."
