Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (Yasuhiro Sato, President & Group CEO) would like to offer its deepest sympathy to those affected by the earthquake in the Yunnan Province of China, especially the families of those who lost their lives in this terrible disaster.
Mizuho has decided to donate JPY5,000,000 to the Japanese Red Cross Society for the support of victims and for recovery efforts.
In addition, Mizuho Bank (China), Ltd. has made a donation of CNY100,000 to the Humanitarian Relief and Aid Fund of Red Cross Society of China Shanghai Branch, and the Mizuho Charity Fund, which is funded by charitable contribution by Mizuho employees, has made a donation of JPY500,000 to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
