Mizuho Americas Communications Team wins seven FCS Portfolio Awards for Brand Strategy and Creative Execution

New York, May 5, 2023 – Mizuho Americas today announced it won seven Financial Communications Society (FCS) Portfolio awards, recognizing outstanding marketing and communications campaigns in financial services. The awards were presented at the annual gala event, held last night at Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. 

“It is truly an honor to be recognized for award-winning work among a field of so many talented and creative peers,” said Cheryl Gilberg, Chief Marketing Officer, Mizuho Americas, and a presenter at the awards gala. “The awards recognize our evolution as a market leader and growing brand in the Americas, showcasing the breadth and depth of our product offerings through creative campaigns about Mizuho’s businesses, people, culture, and thought leadership.

Gold for Corporate Image: Visual Identity System for “Paint the Future: Mizuho Sustainability,” Mizuho’s forward-looking, sustainability-focused branding, which serves as the visual foundation for all of Mizuho Americas’ ESG-related materials and events. 

Silver for Digital Collateral for “The Analyst Series,” a thought-leadership video campaign featuring Mizuho’s expert equity research analysts discussing a range of topics, from the analysts’ favorite parts about their jobs to the latest trends in their coverage areas.

Silver for Employee Event for “Inaugural Digital Innovation Day,” a day-long event at our New York headquarters to introduce employees to innovative solutions in an engaging way, featuring some of the most innovative technology companies and thought leaders.

Silver for Employee Video for “Driving Authenticity: Inclusion & Allyship at Mizuho,” an in-house video featuring employee resource group (ERG) members describing Mizuho’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the positive impact of the firm’s DE&I programming on personal and professional growth.

Bronze for Corporate Image: Visual Identity Logo for “Mizuho Americas Open: The Next Great Tradition,” the official event logo for the LPGA Mizuho Americas Open, the world-class golf tournament debuting at Liberty National Golf Club this Spring.

Bronze for Employee Communications: Visual Identity System for “Heritage and History Visual Identities,” a collective set of artwork that weaves history, culture, and imaginative design for national heritage months and employee resource group programming.

Bronze for Employee Communications: Integrated for “Future Focused: Second Annual Mizuho Americas Town Hall,” Mizuho’s first in-person, firm-wide town hall since 2019. With its own visual branding, the event featured a cohesive collection of presentations and videos, as a well as a surprise celebrity guest – Mizuho Americas’ new brand ambassador, Michelle Wie West.

The FCS Portfolio Awards recognizes outstanding financial services marketing and communications as judged by an invited panel of senior marketing and creative executives from financial services firms and agencies.
