Application for the establishment of an Atlanta Representative Office submitted by Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. (President & CEO: Hiroshi Saito) was officially approved by the Department of Banking and Finance of the State of Georgia (USA) on November 4, 2005. Accordingly, Mizuho Corporate Bank has begun formal preparation for the establishment of the office, with the official opening targeted for February 2006.
Mizuho Corporate Bank currently operates four offices in the US: New York Branch, Chicago Branch, Houston Representative Office and Los Angeles Agency. The new Atlanta Representative Office will cover seven states in the southeastern US (Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida) that are showing exceptionally strong growth, with diverse industries such as transportation, forestry/pulp & paper, utilities, healthcare and media & telecommunications.
Through this five-office nationwide network, Mizuho Corporate Bank will further strengthen and improve its capabilities to provide solutions which meet the needs of its clients in the US.
