Aiming to strengthen its network in Vietnam, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. (MHCB, President & CEO: Hiroshi Saito) established and commenced operations of a branch in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Branch, on October 2, 2006.
MHCB has been operating in Vietnam with one branch in Hanoi and one representative office in Ho Chi Minh City - a one-branch/one-representative office structure. Pursuant to recently obtained approvals, the Ho Chi Minh City Representative Office will be upgraded to branch status, providing MHCB with an enhanced network that will enable coverage of north and south Vietnam through a two-branch network. Utilizing this network, MHCB hopes to provide optimal support to customers developing business operations in Vietnam and, at the same time, contribute to the development of business relations between Vietnam and Japan.
