Meaning encompassed in the design

This is the second work in the "Sustainability" and "Challenge" series.

The clear waters of the Aomori Prefecture's Oirase Stream, surrounded by verdant nature and bathed in sunlight filtering through the trees, and Aoike Pond, one of the so-called Twelve Lakes of Shirakami-Sanchi in northern Honshu and known for its pure and serene appearance―the artist took on the challenge of fusing these two natural wonders together to give rise to a unique landscape.

As a special initiative, Mizuho employees from various group companies actively participated from the early stages of the design process. Engaging directly with painter Ko Narita, they exchanged ideas and worked together on every detail of the theme and design, resulting in this one-of-a-kind calendar image.

Supporting employees in the challenges they undertake, and encouraging open co-creation both within and outside the company, are not limited to creating items such as calendars—this approach is fundamental to Mizuho's idea of value creation.

We invite you to take a copy of this special Mizuho calendar, created through the combined passion of our employees and the artist.

Production considerations

For printed versions of the calendar, we have taken environmental considerations into account in terms of the paper, ink, and manufacturing process, by using FSC® certified paper, vegetable oil-based ink, and using a Green Printing (GP) certified printer.

In an effort to reduce waste, please note that individual branches and offices only have a limited number of paper calendars on hand. As a result, there may be instances where customers are unable to receive a physical calendar from a branch or office. We appreciate your understanding.

We encourage you to download the digital data from this page and print your own calendar.
