What do you do at Mizuho?

I am the Head of Volcker Compliance for the Mizuho U.S. Operations. Additional responsibilities include oversight of the Americas Treasury Department as well as other general compliance matters

How is Mizuho different from other places you've worked?

The most pleasant surprise about Mizuho was the collegiality within the institution. Each employee treats his/her fellow colleagues with the utmost respect, regardless of title or seniority.

What’s a particularly proud moment you’ve had here?

I was the co-founder and co-chair of the Mizuho African Descent Employee Network.  It was a proud moment to be a part of an initiative to provide (and the firm support)  a space and forum for colleagues of diverse backgrounds.   I was awarded the Mizuho President's Special Achievement Award in 2015

Your personal brand and reputation is very important as it will often precede you in your interaction with others internally and in the industry.
