What do you do at Mizuho?
It's pretty simple -- I'm here to help clients. I mainly do this by analyzing biotech stocks to aid them with their investment processes. Investors have tough jobs, probably a lot harder than mine. So my goal is to help them achieve their goal.

What surprised you about Mizuho?
The pace of growth. I’ve been at the firm since 2016, and sometimes I look back and reflect on where the firm was then and where it is now. And it’s amazing to think that all of this growth has occurred in a relatively short period of time. None of it would have been possible without the great people here and the sheer drive to add value to our clients’ work – this has been the constant and is how we earn the trust and business of those who come to us.

What’s the first thing you read every day?
Email. There’s always a lot of news that comes out overnight and early in the morning in my space. As an analyst, it's my job to review, digest and comment on what is relevant to investors. Usually mixed in with the news are client emails. Clients are the center of my business, so I make sure to get back to every single email as quickly as I can.

How have you grown since joining Mizuho?
One of the things I appreciate most about my role is that by its very nature I’m a student. I am grateful to have the daily opportunity to learn from clients, corporates, and my team and colleagues. It’s their questions, stories and feedback that help shape where I focus my attention, how I approach my work and evolve with the business. And I’m really fortunate to have their input into my process.

What do you do for fun?
I work and live in New York City, one of the greatest cities in the world. Although I would like to say that I swim the Hudson regardless of the season, I generally keep things simple. This means spending time with my family and friends, working out, and enjoying the city every second that life affords me.
