Rise in number of registered Mizuho alumni network members
Three years after its launch, Mizuho's alumni network reaches 1,000 members
Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (President & Group CEO: Masahiro Kihara) is pleased to announce that Mizuho's alumni website, which was launched in July 2020, now has more than 1,000 registered members.
At Mizuho, we consider Mizuho alumni (former employees of five group companies1) to be important stakeholders. Since July 2020, we have been working to expand an alumni network that creates value by being a channel for connection with people who are excelling outside of Mizuho.
We have been working with former Mizuho employees to expand our alumni network while meeting alumni needs. To date, our efforts have included providing Mizuho alumni with information such as reports, carrying out collaborative projects led by current Mizuho employees and alumni, and establishing points of contact for alumni interested in once again working at Mizuho.
In FY2022, Mizuho held a discussion-style events for alumni that featured employees and executive officers, and we also received the grand prize at the Japan Alumni Awards 2022.2 These are two key factors that led to an increase in membership numbers. By the end of FY2022, the number of registered members had increased by 350% compared to the previous fiscal year,3 and membership numbers continue to grow. This month, Mizuho employees co-hosted an event with Mizuho alumni, and there are plans for a networking event to take place in September.
Mizuho alumni work in a wide range of fields and have diverse expertise. We aim to continue connecting and creating new value with our alumni network.
