What do you do at Mizuho?
As the Director of Cash Management Operations, it’s hard to define specifics of a typical day. My main objective is to create an STP environment for customer transactions while providing guidance to staff and colleagues from other divisions related to our products and services.

What surprised you about Mizuho?
Mizuho never ceases to amaze me.  During my 32 years with the company, and of course many changes in my personal life, I have to say Mizuho has always been sympathetic, understanding and supporting to these changes. Mizuho continuously demonstrates its support and loyalty to staff.

What are Mizuho's culture and people like?
People come from many backgrounds which allow each one of us to acquire different points of view while understanding appreciating the differences between cultures. Mizuho is filled with great and talented people. The sense of pride of the staff in the work performed is held to high standards allowing us to strive for higher goals and achievements.

How is Mizuho different from other places you've worked?
The way Mizuho reacted on September 11, 2001. Senior management demonstrated integrity, great leadership, and at the same time showed their caring, compassion and loyalty to the staff. Management and staff became "one" for the good of all. It is refreshing and heartwarming that every year on the anniversary of 9/11, we in Mizuho pause our operations to remember our lost friends and colleagues. This tradition, although painful, brings us all together as "ONE."

What do you do for fun?
I love to spend time with my family –  traveling, going  to church, taking Sunday drives with our two dogs and the grandchildren, and discussing politics and current events with my children.
