What do you do at Mizuho?
As the Section Head of Cash Management Operations, it’s hard to define specifics of a typical day. My main objective is to create an STP environment for customer transactions while providing guidance to staff and colleagues from other divisions related to our products and services.
What surprised you about Mizuho?
Mizuho never stops surprising me. During my 29 years with the company, many changes have occurred in my personal life, and I have to say Mizuho has always been sympathetic and reassuring to these changes. Mizuho continuously demonstrates its support and loyalty to its staff.
What is the first thing you read everyday?
What are Mizuho's culture and people like?
People come from many backgrounds which allow each one of us to acquire different points of view while understanding appreciating the differences between cultures. Mizuho is filled with great and talented people. The sense of pride of the staff in the work performed is held to high standards allowing us to strive for higher goals and achievements.
How is Mizuho different from other places you've worked?
How Mizuho reacted on September 11, 2001. Senior management demonstrated integrity, great leadership, and at the same time showed their caring, compassion and loyalty to the staff. Management and staff became "one" for the good of all.
What do you do for fun?
I love to spend time with my family – traveling, going to church, taking Sunday drives with our four dogs, and discussing politics with my children.
What is a topic or issue outside of financial services that interests you?
